Nov 9th Panther Prayer

Hello from St. Paul Catholic School!

We are still very present in the Whitehaven community of Memphis and we are so happy to rekindle our relationships with our St. Paul family — alumni from 1940s to the present, with former faculty and staff, and with parents and grandparents of our former students. 

In this week’s Panther Morning Prayer video, Sister Mary Lawrence, our school principal, shares a special dynamic of our school community and that is FAMILY!   When you enter our doors whether it is as a new parent or as an alum from many years ago, you can feel the FAMILY spirit in a real sense.  And, Sister Mary Lawrence reminds our students of today that, as family, we must respect ourselves and show respect to our Panther family, with our classmates and teachers. 

In this video, Sr. Mary Lawrence reads from a card recently sent to the school faculty and children from one of the Dominican Sisters in Nashville who many of our alumni will recognize, Sr. Angelina, O.P.  Sr. Angelina taught at St. Paul years ago and shares how she is praying especially for our St. Paul Catholic School community during this 2020-2021 school year. 

We are grateful to so many who have continued to update the school with your contact information and we want to encourage you to reach out and learn more about the St. Paul Catholic School of today.  In the months ahead, you will likely hear from classmates reaching out to reconnect with you and your classmates and with the school.  You will also learn about the vision that Sr. Mary Lawrence has for the near future and beyond.  Surrounded by your love, your support, and your prayers, St. Paul will continue to thrive and make a positive difference in our community just as it has for over 70 years.
